A program of Athena Learning, Inc., Jane Austen Around the World engages leading schools in six continents to read and dramatize Jane Austen’s masterpiece Pride and Prejudice. Using a faithful, unabridged adaptation of the novel, the program brings to life all 61 of the novel’s chapters. Every detail, character and plot point is included. Each participating school contributes performances of individual scenes and collaborates with other schools around the globe on dramatic readings and discussions of key moments in the book.

The result is a celebration of an author who, more than 250 years after her birth, is still going strong. Participating students represent the next generation of serious readers, adept at the art of bringing a classic to life.
